1. Who we are
MathXPro is an educational mathematics application provided by SMARTIQ INSTITUTE PRIVATE LIMITED (referred to as “SmartIQ Institute”, “we”, “us” or “our”). This policy explains how we handle information when you use MathXPro.
2. Information we collect
Depending on the features you use and the permissions you grant, we may collect:
- Account information: name, email address and unique user or account identifiers.
- Learning and app activity: exercise responses, scores, progress, learning streaks, searches or actions in the app, challenge activity, friend connections, rankings and leaderboard results.
- Purchase information: product or subscription purchase status, transaction identifiers and purchase history supplied through Google Play. We do not receive your full payment-card or bank-account details.
- Photos and contacts: photos you choose to upload and contact information you choose to make available for supported profile, friend-finding or invitation features. These are accessed only with your permission.
- Location: approximate location, including location inferred from an IP address, for security, analytics, localisation or advertising where enabled. MathXPro does not share your precise live location with other users.
- Device, advertising and technical information: device or other identifiers (which may include an advertising identifier), app version, operating system, diagnostics, crash information and performance data.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- create and manage accounts, authenticate users and provide MathXPro features;
- save learning progress, calculate scores, maintain streaks and operate social or multiplayer challenges;
- process and verify Google Play purchases and restore entitlements;
- send service, security and feature communications;
- understand app usage, diagnose crashes and improve reliability;
- prevent fraud, abuse and unauthorised access and comply with legal obligations;
- personalise the experience and, where applicable, provide or measure advertising and marketing.
4. Service providers and sharing
We may transfer information to trusted providers that process it for us or provide app infrastructure. These may include Google Play services and billing, Google Firebase services (such as Authentication, database, cloud functions, notifications, analytics and crash reporting), hosting, support, security and advertising or measurement providers where enabled.
Depending on the service, approximate location, diagnostics and device or other identifiers may be shared with service providers for analytics, app functionality, security, advertising or marketing. Providers are permitted to process information only for the relevant service and subject to their terms and applicable law.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or our rights, or as part of a merger, financing or transfer of the business. We do not sell personal data.
5. Legal grounds and your choices
Where applicable law requires a legal ground, we process information to perform our agreement with you, pursue legitimate interests such as security and service improvement, comply with law, or act with your consent. You can control optional permissions through device settings. Disabling a permission may make the related feature unavailable.
6. Data retention
We keep account and learning information while your account is active or as needed to provide MathXPro. After a verified account-deletion request, we aim to delete active account data within 30 days. Residual copies may remain in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before being overwritten.
We may retain limited purchase, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute or legal records for up to seven years where required or permitted by law. Anonymised or aggregated information that can no longer identify you may be retained.
7. Account deletion and your rights
You may request deletion of your MathXPro account and associated data by following the instructions on our Account Deletion page. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to access, correct, object to, restrict or receive a copy of your information. Contact us to exercise an applicable right.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards. Data is encrypted in transit using secure connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
9. Children
MathXPro is intended for users aged 13 and over and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
10. International processing
Our service providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect product, legal or operational changes. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or by email where appropriate.
